Chibi White-Haired Weather Heroine Resin Garage Kit – White & Gold Costume, Two-Panel Cape & Whirlwind Base with Wind Ring (Unpainted, 17 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the weather-controlling heroine from a famous American superhero team comic, leaping up on her own whirlwind. She is up on the toe of her right boot, the only point where she touches the base, with her left knee pulled up high. Her right hand is raised by her face with two fingers lifted and her left hand is a fist at her shoulder, and she grins with solid white eyes under heavy brows. Her hair is a big windswept white mane in ribbon-like locks that shade to ice blue in the recesses, with one lock curling onto her forehead, and she wears small gold lightning-bolt earrings. Her costume is a white bodysuit with a gold piping line down the front, a gold belt with a red-and-black emblem buckle, a white stand-up collar and rounded shoulder pieces with gold-ringed discs, a gold band at the throat, white gloves with wide gold cuffs and white knee-high boots. Two separate white cape panels with broad gold borders run from her shoulders to her wrist cuffs, one hanging long and one sweeping out to the side. The base is a spiralling whirlwind pedestal with streaked wind lines, and a large ragged ring of wind rises out of it and arcs around behind her to shoulder height.
What's in the kit
- 17 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 11 pieces: the head with most of the hair, a separate hair section, the torso, the hips with the belt, the collar and shoulder piece, two arms, two hands, and two lower legs in boots.
- Cape, 2 pieces: the two white-and-gold cape panels.
- Base, 4 pieces: the whirlwind pedestal, the large wind ring and two smaller wind wisps.
- Tallest single piece: the wind ring, 118.4 mm (4.66 in) tall and 124.2 mm (4.89 in) wide in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Whirlwind pedestal: 89.1 × 104.9 mm (3.51 × 4.13 in) across in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- She stands on one toe, and the head with its big mane is the heaviest figure piece. Pin the standing boot into the pedestal, and the head to the torso.
- The wind ring is a long thin arc that rises close to the cape panels. Dry-fit the figure and the ring together before gluing either.
- Each cape panel joins at the shoulder and at the wrist cuff, so fit the arms, hands and capes in an order that lets both ends seat.
- The hands, the collar piece, the wind wisps and the ragged ring edges are small or thin. Paint the wind pieces as glass, with glazes and a gloss coat.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
