Chibi Yellow-Cowled Superhero Resin Garage Kit – Mid-Stride Pose, Battle Damage & Rubble Base with Robot Wreckage (Unpainted, 7 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 7 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the young superhero from an American comic and its animated series, caught mid-stride on top of a rubble pile. His weight is on one leg with the boot planted on the rocks, the other knee driven up high with the lower leg folded back, and both hands clenched, one fist pulled up in front of his chest and the other hanging at his side. A yellow cowl covers his head and the sides of his face, open at the top so swept black hair comes out of it, with two large blank white lenses over the eyes and a crease between them for a frown. He wears a black bodysuit with a light cyan shoulder yoke that drops to a point at the back, a yellow shield-shaped chest panel, forearm-length yellow gloves and light cyan boots. Battle damage is sculpted on: blood on the knuckles, a torn slash on one thigh and scuffs on the boots. The base is a mound of dark earth and gray rocks strewn with mechanical wreckage, including a silver robot hand, a jointed black hand trailing wires, steel beams and plates and a pair of black claws, plus a glossy pink alien brain with long tendrils draped over the rocks.
What's in the kit
- 7 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: the head with the cowl and hair, the body with both thighs, two gloved forearms with fists, the standing leg and the raised lower leg.
- Base, 1 piece: the rubble mound with the robot wreckage and tendrils sculpted on.
- Tallest single piece: the head, 72.3 mm (2.85 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rubble base: 72.5 × 70.0 mm (2.85 × 2.76 in) across in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The whole figure stands on one leg, and the head is more than three-quarters of the figure's resin. Pin the standing leg into the base and into the body.
- The join in the smooth black thigh is the seam most likely to show.
- The base carries thin claws, rods, wires and a hanging tendril; support and clean them carefully.
- The cowl, yoke, chest panel and cuff edges are crisp sculpted borders between clean color blocks.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
