IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 21 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the cosmic princess from American comics, daughter of a planet-eating giant, drawn here in a soft anime style. She strides through space with one leg straight and its boot set on a cracked, glowing planet and the other leg drawn up behind her, her right arm reaching forward with the palm open under a small floating metal hoop and her left arm swung back with the fingers spread. Her tall crown helmet has two flared, angular fins and a glowing gold ring around it like a halo, over a purple visor with thin gold light lines down the cheeks. Long black hair streams out behind her in two heavy masses. She wears a dark blue bodysuit with a hexagon texture and glowing cyan circuit lines, a magenta-purple armored top with chrome edges and a cut-out at the midriff, an armored block on one upper arm, fingerless blue gloves, two thin hoops around one forearm, a short flared armored skirt with gold piping, a purple band on one thigh and metallic purple-blue boots. The base is a swirl of purple nebula cloud dotted with small black spheres, holding broken planets: a large tan one under her boot split open with a warm glow, a gray one cracked open with a red fissure, a small teal-and-gold one, a small red one and a flat tan planetary ring, with two glossy blue energy arcs with star-shaped tips sweeping up around her.

What's in the kit

  • 21 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: head with the finned helmet and halo ring, the long hair, torso with the armored top and skirt, hips, two legs, two arms, two hands and two thin arm hoops.
  • Base, 5 pieces: the nebula swirl and planets in five sections.
  • Effects, 4 pieces: the blue energy arcs with star tips and the floating ring, made to print in translucent resin.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 407 mm (16.02 in) tall, 211 mm (8.31 in) wide and 210 mm (8.27 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' notes and scale guide for this kit).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole figure stands on one boot on the cracked planet, leaning forward. Drill and pin through that boot into the planet.
  • The long hair is a single large piece that hangs off the back of the head with nothing under it. Pin it.
  • Build the five base sections first and dry-fit the energy arcs, which anchor to the base at both ends, before the figure goes on.
  • The helmet fins, the hands, the floating ring and the thin arm hoops are delicate. The effect pieces are designed for translucent resin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
