Comic Horned Sorceress Resin Garage Kit – Gold Horned Helm, Hooked Sceptre & Rune Disc Base (Unpainted, 18 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 18 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the horned sorceress from a famous comic-book universe. She stands tall on stiletto-heeled thigh boots, her head turned toward the viewer, one hand raised and clawed at chest height and the other holding a long sceptre that runs across her legs to a hooked gold blade with a round orb. She wears a gold helm with two long engraved horns, a scale-patterned halter bodice over a high-cut leotard, a gold belt set with round gems, armored gauntlets and shin plates, a shaggy fur collar and cuffs, and a long cape that flares out to one side. Her long wavy hair falls down her back. The base is a two-tier round plinth with an engraved rune disc on top, four curling gold ornaments around the rim and a snake coiled at her feet. The glowing green magic in the renders is lighting only and is not a part in the kit.
What's in the kit
- 18 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 7 pieces: head with the horned helm, hair, torso with the fur collar, two arms (one holding the sceptre shaft) and two legs with the boots.
- Sceptre, 1 piece: the hooked blade with its orb.
- Cape, 3 pieces.
- Snake, 2 pieces.
- Base, 5 pieces: the round two-tier plinth and four gold rim ornaments.
- Tallest single piece: a leg with its boot, 176.0 mm (6.93 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands much taller once the torso, head and base are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Base: the round plinth is 141.5 × 141.7 mm (5.57 × 5.58 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- She stands on two stiletto heels and the figure above them is heavy. Pin both heels into the base, and glue the legs to the base first.
- The cape comes in three sections that hang from the shoulders. Dry-fit all three before gluing, and fill the seams on the smooth cloth.
- The base has four separate rim ornaments and a two-piece snake that coils around the boots. Place them before the figure goes on so nothing fouls the heels.
- The horn tips, the sceptre shaft, the clawed fingers and the rim ornaments are thin and delicate.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
