IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of a well-known comic book superheroine. She stands with her weight on one straight leg planted among the rocks and the other leg bent, its boot resting on the tallest stone, and pulls a yellow glove up over her raised hand. Her hair is white at the front and on top, running into long auburn curls that blow out behind her, held back with a green headband. She wears a cropped brown leather bomber jacket with quilted shoulders, round patches on the sleeves and loose buckled straps at the hem, over a green bodysuit with a yellow honeycomb-textured center panel. A low brown belt with a round silver buckle and three pouches, yellow gloves and thigh-high yellow boots with green bands finish the outfit. The base is a round gunmetal disc with a silver rim and a sculpted emblem at the front, with three broken gray rocks stacked on top.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 11 pieces: head, hair, headband ties, torso with the jacket, hips and thighs, two forearms, two hands and two boots.
  • Base, 4 pieces: the round base and three rocks.
  • Tallest single piece: the standing leg and boot, 138.5 mm (5.45 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands taller once the hips, torso, head, rocks and base are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: the round base is 116.6 × 118.0 mm (4.59 × 4.65 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole figure rests on one boot. Pin that boot into the rocks and pin the hips to both boots.
  • The large hair piece hangs off the back of the head and blows out to one side. Pin it.
  • Stack and glue the three rocks on the base first, then dry-fit the figure so the bent leg's boot lands on the top stone.
  • The spread fingers, the headband ties and the hair curl tips are thin and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
