Sci-Fi Film Masked Villain Resin Garage Kit – Black Armor, Red Energy Sword, Billowing Cape & Lava Cliff Base (Unpainted, 26 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 26 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the black-armored masked villain from a famous space-fantasy film saga, stepping up onto a rock cliff over a lava pool. His right boot is planted on the high front ledge and his left leg reaches down to a lower step. A red energy sword is held low and angled out in his right hand, and his left arm is thrust out with the gloved fingers spread toward the viewer. He wears the glossy black domed helmet with its flared back and triangular mouth grille, ribbed shoulder armor, a chest control box with small lights, a belt with two boxes and a pebbled leather apron, a woven tunic and long split robe skirt over a quilted undersuit, flared gauntlets, and boots with glossy shin guards. A long cape with a scalloped hem billows out behind his left side. The base is a jagged basalt cliff with glowing cracks and two long lava drips hanging from the overhang into a glowing pool, with a curved scrap-metal shell and a rod lying in the lava.
What's in the kit
- 26 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 9 pieces: helmet, torso, legs, two arms, two hands (the right fist holds the sword hilt) and two boots.
- Cape and robe, 5 pieces: the cape in three sections and the robe skirt in two.
- Sword and fittings, 5 pieces: the red sword blade, the chest control box and three belt boxes.
- Base, 7 pieces: the lava pool, the rock cliff, two long lava drips, a small lava run and two pieces of scrap metal.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 417 mm (16.42 in) tall, 406 mm (15.98 in) wide and 245 mm (9.65 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The cape comes in three large sections that build out from the shoulders, and the robe skirt in two. The cape seams run across woven fabric texture, so fill them and carry the weave across. Pin the cape at the shoulders.
- The boots carry the figure at two different heights on the cliff. Pin both.
- The sword blade is a separate, very thin piece that fits into the fist. It suits translucent red resin; pin it.
- The two lava drips are glued at both ends, from the overhang down to the pool, and are too thin to pin easily. The belt boxes are tiny.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
