IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 19 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the masked dark-side warrior from a famous space-opera film saga, in his cracked-helmet look. He stands with his feet apart on top of a craggy rock, his right fist low at his side holding a crossguard energy blade angled up and out, a wavy crackling main blade with two short side blades at the hilt. His left arm is thrown straight out in front of him, gloved hand open and fingers spread. The oversized helmet is dark gunmetal, hammered and pitted, and webbed with red-filled cracks, with silver brow bars over an openwork faceplate and a slatted chin plate. There is no face; all the expression comes from the tilt of the helmet and the reaching hand. He wears a chunky knit cowl and a long knit cape sweeping out to one side, a quilted silver-gray tunic split at the front, a wide belt with a small engraved buckle, ribbed black sleeves, gloves, trousers and strapped calf boots. Jammed against the rock is the wreck of a small fighter craft: a cracked cockpit ball glowing red in the cracks, a ringed fuselage section with twin gun barrels, a bent and torn wing panel, and colored wires spilling out beside his boot.

What's in the kit

  • 19 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 8 pieces: the helmeted head, the upper body, the tunic skirt, the legs, two boots and two arms (the right fist holds the hilt).
  • Cape, 2 pieces: the knit cowl with upper cape, and the lower cape flare.
  • Energy blade, 3 pieces: the main blade and two short side blades.
  • Base, 6 pieces: the rock in two sections and the wrecked fighter in four pieces (cockpit ball, fuselage with barrels and two wing panels).
  • Tallest single piece: a wing panel of the wrecked fighter, 68.6 mm (2.70 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Rock: two sections, 65.1 × 45.2 mm (2.56 × 1.78 in) and 52.0 × 71.8 mm (2.05 × 2.83 in) across, from the sculptor's files; the wreck spreads beyond them.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The main blade is only 2.2 mm thick and the two side blades are tiny. Fit them last, and pin the main blade into the hilt if it can be drilled.
  • The helmeted head is the heaviest part and sits on a small torso, and the whole figure stands on two small boots. Pin the boots into the rock and the head onto the torso.
  • The base is six pieces: two rock sections and four wreck pieces that have to meet each other and the rock. Dry-fit them all before gluing.
  • The wing panels are thin with jagged edges, and the lower cape hangs out from the figure; its join falls on the knit texture.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
