IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 23 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

An anime-style statue of a white-haired girl in a hooded veil and a long frilled gown. She stands on a round tiled base with one finger raised to her chin and a small, knowing smile, her other hand tucked behind her back. Her white hair falls from a spiky fringe into two very long tails that bow out wide on either side of her and are tied near the ends with gold rings. She wears a dark indigo hooded veil with gold-banded side flaps and a pink scalloped lace band across the front, pink feathered pieces at the shoulders, a red gem pendant, a navy long-sleeved bodice with a gold-trimmed V neckline and frilled cuffs, a navy corset laced in pink with a pink ruffle, a long pale pink skirt with a navy band and a frilled hem, and navy flat shoes.

What's in the kit

  • 23 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: head with neck and pendant, front hair, the twin tails, two gold hair rings, two tail tips, the upper body with both sleeved arms, two hands and two legs.
  • Clothing, 10 pieces: the hooded veil, two feathered shoulder pieces, two frilled cuffs, the laced corset, the waist ruffle, the long skirt and two shoes.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round tiled base.
  • Tallest single piece: the twin tails, 101.8 mm (4.01 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Round base: 125.1 × 125.1 mm (4.93 × 4.93 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The twin tails are the heaviest figure part and hang from the back of the head. Pin them to the head and let the joint cure before the rings and tips go on.
  • Both shoes carry the whole figure on a small contact. Pin the shoes into the base and the legs into the shoes.
  • The fringe strands, the raised finger, the frilled cuffs and the feather tips are thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
