IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 9 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the hero of a popular comic-fantasy book series about a deadly dungeon run as a game show, with his royal cat riding on his shoulder. He is shown from the waist up in a sleeveless vest with snaps, a flap pocket and a round pin on the chest, a bandana pulled over his nose and mouth, his hair brushed up and back, and the cowl and short mantle of his cape over his shoulders. The long-haired cat sits on his shoulder in sunglasses, a spiked crown and a collar with a butterfly charm, her tail curled up behind her. The arms end at the shoulders, and the bust stands on a stepped square plinth. The studio calls this the 1:10 bust. The full 1:10 scale figure and the miniature are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 9 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 4 pieces: head with the bandana, vest torso and two shoulder pieces.
  • Cat, 2 pieces: the crowned cat and her separate sunglasses.
  • Cape, 1 piece: the cowl and short shoulder mantle.
  • Plinths, 2 pieces: two plinths (alternate stands), one smaller and one larger.
  • Bust: 99 mm (3.90 in) tall (from the studio's bust sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The cat sits on the mantle over one shoulder. Glue the mantle to the torso first, then seat the cat.
  • The cat's sunglasses are a tiny separate part. Glue them on with tweezers.
  • The crown points and the frayed edge of the mantle are thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
