IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 6 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A miniature of the fan-art statue of the barefoot hero of a popular comic-fantasy book series about a deadly dungeon run as a game show, with his royal cat riding on his shoulder. It is the same sculpt as the full-size figure at a much smaller size: one bare foot up on a wooden crate, both fists clenched, one forearm in a segmented steel gauntlet, a sleeveless leather vest with a round pin, heart-print boxer shorts, spiked knee pads, a bandana over his nose and mouth, and a long torn cape spreading out behind him. The crowned cat in sunglasses sits on his shoulder, and the base is rock, grass and the crate. At this size the cat's sunglasses are sculpted on and the figure is in three pieces. The full 1:10 scale figure and the bust are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 6 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 3 pieces: head, upper body with both arms, and lower body with both legs.
  • Cat, 1 piece: the crowned cat with her sunglasses on.
  • Cape, 1 piece: the whole cape.
  • Base, 1 piece: rock, grass and crate.
  • Miniature: 84 mm (3.31 in) tall, 56 × 74 mm (2.20 × 2.91 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The miniature is six pieces with the same detail as the full-size figure at a much smaller size. The head and the cat are tweezers work.
  • The cape is a single thin piece that spreads out behind him. Dry-fit it against his back before gluing.
  • The knee-pad spikes, the crown points and the cat's tail are very fine at this size, so take the supports off gently.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
