IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 10 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A miniature of the fan-art statue of the ancient black dragon foretold to end the world in a famous open-world fantasy role-playing game. It is the same scene as the full-size diorama at a smaller size: the dragon clings to a broken round watchtower of stone brick with his jaws wide open, both wings thrown out to the sides and his spiked tail climbing the back of the tower and arching over its broken top. The tower keeps its spiral staircase, doorway and snowy rubble. At this size the tower and ground are a single piece, and each wing and the tail is a single piece. The full 1:10 scale diorama is sold as a separate listing.

What's in the kit

  • 10 resin pieces in total.
  • Dragon, 9 pieces: the head, neck, body, spine crest, two legs, the two wings and the tail.
  • Tower base, 1 piece: the tower and ground as a single piece.
  • Miniature: 114 mm (4.49 in) tall, 104 × 121 mm (4.09 × 4.76 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The miniature is ten pieces keyed the same way as the full-size version, with the tower and ground in a single piece.
  • The wings overhang a lot for their size and the join faces are small. Dry-fit, then hold or pin each wing while the glue sets.
  • The teeth, the claw tips and the spikes on the crest and tail are very fine at this size, so take the supports off gently.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
