Video Game Black Dragon Resin Garage Kit – Spread Wings, Roaring Jaws & Ruined Stone Watchtower Diorama (Unpainted, 1:10 Scale, 23 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 23 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the ancient black dragon foretold to end the world in a famous open-world fantasy role-playing game. He clings to a broken round watchtower of gray stone brick, his body wrapped around one side of it and his head thrust low and forward with the jaws wide open, showing rows of bone-colored teeth and a long tongue. Two heavy horns sweep back from the skull, a crest of tall spikes runs down the spine, and the tail climbs the back of the tower, passes over its broken top and ends in a spiked tip high above everything else. Both wings are thrown out to the sides, one laid open almost flat and the other raised with its claw hooked over. The hide is sculpted as layered, rippled plates with deep grooves, which the studio paints near-black with a red-orange glow in the grooves and red eyes. The tower has a spiral staircase wrapping its outside, a doorway at ground level, roots climbing the brickwork, and snow on the ledges and on the rubble at its foot. This listing is the full 1:10 scale diorama. The miniature is sold as a separate listing.
What's in the kit
- 23 resin pieces in total.
- Dragon, 15 pieces: the head, neck, body, spine crest and two legs, one wing in four sections, the other wing in three sections, and the tail in two halves.
- Tower base, 8 pieces: the ruined tower, its spiral stairs and the snowy ground in eight stacked sections.
- 1:10 scale: 261 mm (10.28 in) tall, 237 × 276 mm (9.33 × 10.87 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
- Scale: 1:10 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The 1:10 tower base stacks from eight sections, with the stairs running across the joins. Dry-fit the whole tower and line up the brickwork before you glue.
- At 1:10 the wings come in seven sections, and the membrane seams land on smooth surfaces. Plan to fill and sand them.
- The tail's tip half reaches out over the top of the tower. Pin the two tail halves together and pin the tail into the body.
- Thin parts: the teeth, the claw tips and the spikes on the spine crest and tail tip.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
