IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the dark-haired heroine from a classic role-playing video game. She balances on one boot in a light leap, her other leg folded up behind her, one arm raised over her head and the other thrown back with a bladed launcher strapped to the forearm. A ribbon of blue-white magic with drifting feathers coils up around her standing leg. She wears a long sleeveless pale blue knit coat hanging open past her knees, a black tank top, blue-violet shorts with three gold buttons over black bike shorts, ribbed blue arm-warmers, laced brown ankle boots, a black ribbon tied on one arm and a silver chain with two ring pendants. The base is a round bronze drum with purple scrollwork panels and sculpted plaques, topped with stone rubble, brass gears and a broken carved pillar.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 9 pieces: head, front hair, back hair, torso, hips with the shorts, two legs and two arms (one with the wrist blade).
  • Cloth, 1 piece: the lower part of the long coat.
  • Base, 5 pieces: the round drum, the rubble and gears on top of it, the broken pillar and the magic swirl in two halves.
  • Tallest single piece: the standing leg, 149.8 mm (5.90 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands taller once the hips, torso, head and base are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: the round drum is 130.3 × 134.4 mm (5.13 × 5.29 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • She stands on one boot, and that leg carries the hips, torso, coat, arms and head. Pin the leg into the rubble and pin the hips to the leg.
  • The magic swirl comes in two halves that wrap around her leg. Dry-fit the swirl, the rubble and the figure together before you glue anything, and fill the swirl seam, which sits on a smooth surface.
  • The coat is a large thin sheet that hangs from the waist and has to clear the swirl.
  • The wrist blade, the fingers, the feathers and the hair tips are thin and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
