IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 24 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the champion from a famous monster-battling game series, with her dragon partner. She stands in a long black coat with thick fur cuffs and collar, one hand on her hip and the other raised by her face, her very long blonde hair falling past her hips. Behind her stands a full-size dark blue land-shark dragon with a red chest, open jaws and blade-like fins on its arms. Each figure has its own part of the base: a round marble platform for her and a sandy arena floor with curved marble walls and light strips for the dragon.

What's in the kit

  • 24 resin pieces in total.
  • Woman, 10 pieces: head, hair in two pieces, torso, two arms, two hands, legs and the long coat skirt.
  • Dragon, 7 pieces: head, body, two arms, two legs and the tail.
  • Base, 7 pieces: her round platform and the arena in six sections.
  • Tallest single piece: her legs, 204.1 mm (8.04 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished piece stands taller once her torso, head and platform are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Her round platform is a single piece, 154.4 mm (6.08 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Two figures and a seven-piece base make this a long build. The arena floor is six sections that have to sit flat and edge to edge, so dry-fit them before you glue.
  • The dragon's legs and tail are heavy parts on a big body. Pin both legs and the tail.
  • Her hands, the dragon's arm fins and its spikes are thin and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
