Video Game Chibi Cat Chef Resin Garage Kit – Grilling Meat Over Flames, Two Cat Helpers & Vegetable Plate Base (Unpainted, 7 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 7 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi diorama of the head cook of a famous monster-hunting game's canteen, a tough little cat chef caught mid-grill. He stands behind a round stone table with a wooden spoon raised over four thick slabs of meat, his other arm bent across his chest. One eye is squinted shut with scar marks at the corner and the other is open and green. He wears a red chef's cap with a folded point and a gold scroll pattern, knotted at the back, a red neckerchief, a wrap on one wrist, a belt and a cream apron with a scalloped hem. A wide flat sword with a paw print stamped on the blade, a hooked gold pommel, a small bell and a tassel stands point-down behind him. Two smaller gray-and-white cat helpers in cream caps and red neckerchiefs stand on either side, one with both arms thrown up and its mouth wide open, the other with a paw to its mouth. Flames wrap around the table and one long tongue of fire rises past his cap. The base is a flat slab of gray rock with a tall stack of bowls, and plates of leeks, turnips, cabbages, potatoes and pumpkins on big green leaves around the edge, with a pot and a bottle at the back.
What's in the kit
- 7 resin pieces in total.
- Figures, 3 pieces: the cat chef with his cap, spoon, apron and tail, and the two cat helpers.
- Base, 3 pieces: the rock slab with the vegetable plates, leaves, pot and bottle; the round table top with the four meat slabs and the flames; and the stack of bowls.
- Accessories, 1 piece: the chef's sword with its bell and tassel.
- Studio size: 68 mm (2.68 in) tall, 93 × 85 mm (3.66 × 3.35 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The table top sits on the rock pillar of the base and the bowl stack plugs into the base on a peg. Dry-fit both before you glue the cats in place.
- The three cats stand on small feet. Pin or glue them carefully; the chef is the heaviest.
- The sword stands point-down behind the chef, and its tip is hidden behind the meat. Test-fit it before gluing anything around it.
- Thin parts: the long flame tongue and the flame tips, the spoon handle, the cats' ears and tails, and the sword's ring, bell and tassel.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
