Video Game Chibi Paper-Style Hero Party Resin Garage Kit – Crowned Ribbon Queen, Mallet Hero & Theater Stage Diorama (Unpainted, 16 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 16 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi diorama of the final battle from a classic paper-craft role-playing game, set on a round theater stage. Every character is modeled as a flat paper cut-out with an outlined edge. At the center a shadowy queen rises from the stage as a twisting purple ribbon, with a tall gold three-point crown set with a pink gem on a purple face with slit eyes and a wide grin, and two large flat hands branching off the ribbon. Her coils wrap a blonde princess in a pink gown, who has both hands up in alarm, and a crowd of small grasping hands rises from the floor around her. On one of the queen's hands the plumber hero in a red cap and blue overalls swings a big wooden mallet overhead, and on the other perches a white mouse thief in a red mask and cape, her tail curled into a heart. Around the foot of the ribbon stand the hero's party and a rival: a little mushroom-creature archaeologist with a blonde ponytail and a helmet with a headlamp, a turtle in a blue hoodie with a green shell, a plump purple wind spirit with big curled hair and a gold necklace, and a round purple villain in goggles pointing across the scene. Two blue-gray stone arches stand at the back. The base is a riveted wooden stage with a lobe at one end and a step at the other.
What's in the kit
- 16 resin pieces in total.
- Characters, 7 pieces: the mallet-swinging hero, the princess, the archaeologist, the turtle, the wind spirit, the mouse thief and the goggled villain, each in a single piece.
- Ribbon queen, 6 pieces: the crowned head, the upper and lower ribbon coils, the two large hands and the floor of grasping hands.
- Base and scene, 3 pieces: the stage and the two stone arches.
- Studio size: 100 mm (3.94 in) tall, 79 × 121 mm (3.11 × 4.76 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The queen goes together from the stage up: the floor of hands, the lower coil, the upper coil, then the crowned head. Dry-fit the coils and the two arches together before gluing, since they share the same patch of stage.
- Two characters perch on the queen's hands, which stick out from the ribbon. Pin and glue each hand before setting a character on top.
- The characters are flat cut-outs a few millimeters thick. The crown points, the mallet handle, the mouse's heart-shaped tail and the pointing arm are the thin spots.
- The many small fingers on the floor of hands take patience when removing supports.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
