Video Game Chibi Rag-Disguise Creature Resin Garage Kit – Dead Tree, Paper Lantern & Little Pond Base (Unpainted, 4 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 4 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi diorama of the shy little creature from a famous monster-collecting game series that hides under a homemade rag costume. It peeks out from behind a hollow dead tree with one dark claw hooked around the bark and its head tilted toward the viewer. The yellow rag has two pointed ears with dark tips, a scribbled face with spiral eyes, a zigzag mouth and round cheek patches, all sculpted as raised lines, and a lightning-bolt tail propped up on a stick behind it. Below the drawn face, its real eyes show as two small dark dots, and the hem of the rag is ragged. The tree's one long branch curls out over its head, and a spiral knot and a small four-petal flower sit on the trunk. The base is a low oval of grass, star-shaped plants and big fern leaves around a small pool with a can floating in it, with a ribbed paper lantern standing on a rock at the water's edge.
What's in the kit
- 4 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 1 piece: the creature in its rag disguise, with the claw, ears and stick tail.
- Base, 2 pieces: the oval base with the plants, rocks, pool and floating can, and the dead tree with its long branch.
- Accessories, 1 piece: the ribbed paper lantern.
- Studio size: 77 mm (3.03 in) tall, 67 × 87 mm (2.64 × 3.43 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The tree has a small tab at the foot of the trunk that locates it on the base. Fit the tree first, then dry-fit the figure against the bark so the claw lands on the trunk.
- The tree's long branch reaches out over the figure with nothing under it. Remove any supports from it slowly and handle it gently.
- Thin parts: the ear tips, the stick tail, the fern leaf tips and the lantern's knob.
- Most of the work is paint: the yellow rag with its drawn face, bark, several greens, water and the lantern.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
