Chibi Red-Haired Brawler Resin Garage Kit – Torn Gi, Prayer-Bead Collar & Carved Stone Lion-Head Base (Unpainted, 12 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 12 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the dark, red-haired master from a classic arcade fighting game. He stands square to the front with his feet planted wide on a jagged slab of rock, his arms held out from his sides and both fists clenched at hip height, his head pushed forward so he glares out from under a heavy, knotted brow with glowing red eyes, a broad nose and a hard downturned frown. His hair is a mass of crimson spikes sweeping up and back, with a flame-shaped topknot bound in rope rising from the crown. A ring of oversized round prayer beads sits high around his neck like a collar. He wears a deep blue sleeveless gi with the armholes torn into ragged flaps, a crossover collar and a red character on the back, a thick twisted rope belt knotted at the front, loose trousers cut off at mid-shin into torn cuffs, and wide leather bracers with a strap looped around each hand; his feet are bare. His arms are chibi-short but heavily muscled. The base is a carved stone guardian-lion head with spiral curls for brows and mane, round eyes, flared nostrils and upturned fangs, patches of green moss in the hollows, and a broken slab of lighter rock on top where he stands; the back of the base is rough broken rock.
What's in the kit
- 12 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 9 pieces: the head, the spiked hair, the flame-shaped topknot, the gi top with the rope belt, the trousers as a single piece, two arms with bracers and fists, and two bare feet.
- Accessories, 2 pieces: the prayer-bead collar in two halves.
- Base, 1 piece: the carved stone lion head with the broken rock slab on top.
- Tallest single piece: the stone base, 83.2 mm (3.28 in) tall in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Stone base: 102.9 × 136.8 mm (4.05 × 5.39 in) across in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The stone base is the largest part in the kit. I print it hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
- The spiked hair is a big, heavy block with sharp tips sitting on top of the figure. Pin it to the head and the head to the torso.
- The torn armhole flaps, ragged trouser cuffs, belt-knot ends and the strap loops over the fists are thin.
- The bead collar comes in two halves that meet around the neck. Dry-fit them before gluing, and pin both bare feet into the rock.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
