IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 14 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the silver-haired, one-winged swordsman villain from a classic role-playing video game, crouched low on a broken rock with a smirk. One boot is planted on the low front edge of the rock and the other knee is bent high on a ledge behind. Both hands grip the hilt up by one shoulder, and the very long katana runs level across his chest and far out to one side. He wears a long black leather coat with a high collar, a silver pauldron with three rivets, black gloves with silver wrist rings, a wide black belt with a round engraved silver buckle set with two small stones, black straps with silver clips down the coat front, dark woven trousers and knee-high black boots with silver straps. A single black feathered wing spreads from one shoulder blade. His long silver-white hair has a center part and long bangs, and sweeps back in a big mass of ribbons that end in hooked tips. The base is a two-level slab of dark, cracked slate rock. The blade, the wing and the hair all reach well past the edge of the rock.

What's in the kit

  • 14 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 12 pieces: the head, the front hair, the long back hair, the torso in the long coat, the black wing, two arms, the gloved hands on the hilt, the trousers, the belt with the coat skirt, and two boots.
  • Sword, 1 piece: the long katana.
  • Base, 1 piece: the two-level rock.
  • Height: 186.3 mm (7.33 in) tall on its base, measured from the sculptor's single-piece file of the finished figure.
  • Tallest single piece: the wing, 85.2 mm (3.35 in) in the sculptor's file.
  • Rock base: 127.9 × 124.5 mm (5.04 × 4.90 in) across in the sculptor's file. The blade, the wing and the hair reach well past it.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The katana is very long and thin and is held only at the grip. It passes just in front of the wing and under the chin, so dry-fit the wing, arms, hands and sword together before gluing any of them.
  • The back hair is a large, heavy piece ending in dozens of thin hooked tips. Pin it to the head. I print it hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
  • The wing is a large thin panel that hangs off the back past the edge of the base; pin it.
  • Pin both boots into the rock; the figure leans out over the base.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
