Video Game Chibi Teal Gem Creature Resin Garage Kit – Book Stack, Sweeping Scroll Ribbon, Inkwell & Quill (Unpainted, 8 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 8 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the small teal spirit creature with a pink gem on its forehead, a summoned companion from a long-running fantasy online role-playing game. It has just landed on top of a stack of books, front paws down, one paw in a crumpled sheet of paper, leaning forward with its mouth open and its big dark eyes on the viewer. Two very long ears fan out to the sides, a pale tuft sits on its chest, and a big three-lobed plume tail sweeps up over its back. Around it are a cup of rolled parchment scrolls, an inkwell with a feather quill standing in it, and a small cut crystal, all on a slab of layered stone on a round plinth. A paper ribbon sweeps a full arc around the scene, starting and ending in parchment scroll ends with script on them and carrying little four-point sparkle stars.
What's in the kit
- 8 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 2 pieces: the body with the head, ears and forehead gem, and the plume tail.
- Base, 4 pieces: the stone slab on its round plinth with the small crystal, the stack of books, and the paper ribbon in two sections.
- Accessories, 2 pieces: the cup of rolled scrolls, and the inkwell with its quill.
- Studio size: 84 mm (3.31 in) tall, 82 × 76 mm (3.23 × 2.99 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The tail is heavier than the body and is swept up off the rump with nothing under it. Pin it.
- The paper ribbon comes in two curved sections that meet along a smooth face. Line up the arc, then fill and sand the seam.
- The quill feather, the scroll ends, the ear tips and the ribbon's pointed ends are thin.
- The books, the scroll cup and the inkwell all sit on the slab, and the figure stands on the books, so build the base first.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
