Video Game Chibi Wooden Creature Pair Resin Garage Kit – Bell Axe-Staff, Merchant's Shop Stack & Rock Base (Unpainted, 7 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 7 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi diorama of two wooden-bodied creatures from a recent painterly fantasy role-playing game. The small one is a traveling merchant built like an artist's mannequin: a wooden block for a head with a fan of red-to-pink feathers rising from a metal collar on top, and jointed wooden limbs. He sits on a rock outcrop with one hand planted behind him, next to his shop: a leaning shelf on a strut, a barrel, a crate with brass corners, a stack of bricks with an iron pot, and a curled iron hook with a hanging lantern. The big one stands beside him, turned toward him with one hand held out palm up. His head is a huge ball of layered white fluff with a shield-shaped wooden plaque painted with red glyphs where a face would be, and his body is stocky wood with a carved band, a small medallion, a short cloth fringe, steel knee joints and bandaged legs, with a bundle of logs roped to his back. In his other hand he holds a crooked staff with an axe head lashed to the top and a brass bell hanging below it. A wooden chest with a lantern on its lid sits at his feet, and the base is a rough stone slab scattered with loose rocks.
What's in the kit
- 7 resin pieces in total.
- Figures, 4 pieces: the small merchant in a single piece, and the big figure's body, his staff arm with the bell, and his open hand.
- Base, 1 piece: the stone slab with the outcrop.
- Accessories, 2 pieces: the shop stack with the hanging lantern, and the chest with the lantern on its lid.
- Studio size: 77 mm (3.03 in) tall, 67 × 128 mm (2.64 × 5.04 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The staff arm is long and joins at the shoulder, with the bell hanging at the far end. Pin the shoulder; the foot of the staff also rests on the base.
- The open hand is the smallest part in the kit. Watch for it in the wash.
- Both figures, the shop stack and the chest all stand on the one stone slab. Dry-fit everything before gluing.
- Thin parts: the lantern hook on the shop stack, the bell loop, the feather tips and the jointed limbs of the small figure.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
