IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 5 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

The miniature version of a fan-art statue of the brooding young mercenary hero from a classic role-playing game, mid-fight on top of a monster: the same sculpt as the full statue, made smaller and in 5 pieces. He plants one boot on the creature's back and braces the other against a ridge, his body twisted toward the viewer, one arm thrown straight out with the gloved fingers spread and the other held low and back with a long sword whose hilt is built like a gun, with a cylinder and trigger in the grip and a braided lanyard hanging from the pommel. His brown hair falls in a long fringe between his blue eyes. He wears a short black leather jacket with a thick white feathered collar, a full-length zipper and strapped cuffs over a white V-neck shirt, a silver chain with a lion-head pendant, two red-brown belts with a lion-head buckle, white fur tufts at both hips, black leather trousers with three buckled straps around one thigh, black gloves, studded black boots and a black half-skirt at the back that flares out in the wind. The base is a round, warty green monster with a huge mouth of cream teeth and a ring of thick curling tentacles, some raised like horns, with two tan rock spikes pushing up through them. The studio's scale sheet gives the miniature as 91 mm tall. The full 1:10 scale statue and the bust are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 5 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 4 pieces: head, torso with the outstretched arm, the sword arm with the sword, and the legs with the half-skirt and hip furs.
  • Base, 1 piece: the monster and the rocks as a single piece.
  • Miniature: 91 mm (3.58 in) tall, 55 mm (2.17 in) wide and 85 mm (3.35 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The miniature is five parts, and the monster and rocks are a single-piece base, so there are no base seams to fill.
  • Dry-fit the legs on the monster's back before gluing: one boot sits on the creature and the other braces against the ridge.
  • The sword is part of the sword arm and is long and very thin at this size. Remove its supports slowly and fit that arm last.
  • Thin parts at this size: the collar feathers, the lanyard and the spread fingers.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
