IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the brooding young mercenary hero from a classic role-playing game, mid-fight on top of a monster. He plants one boot on the creature's back and braces the other against a ridge, his body twisted toward the viewer, one arm thrown straight out with the gloved fingers spread and the other held low and back with a long sword whose hilt is built like a gun, with a cylinder and trigger in the grip and a braided lanyard hanging from the pommel. His brown hair falls in a long fringe between his blue eyes. He wears a short black leather jacket with a thick white feathered collar, a full-length zipper and strapped cuffs over a white V-neck shirt, a silver chain with a lion-head pendant, two red-brown belts with a lion-head buckle, white fur tufts at both hips, black leather trousers with three buckled straps around one thigh, black gloves, studded black boots and a black half-skirt at the back that flares out in the wind. The base is a round, warty green monster with a huge mouth of cream teeth and a ring of thick curling tentacles, some raised like horns, with two tan rock spikes pushing up through them. This listing is the full 1:10 scale statue; the miniature and the bust are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 17 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 7 pieces: head, front hair, torso, feathered collar, two arms and the legs with boots.
  • Cloth, 3 pieces: the half-skirt and the two hip fur tufts.
  • Sword, 1 piece: the sword with its lanyard.
  • Base, 6 pieces: the monster and the two rocks in six sections.
  • 1:10 scale: 217 mm (8.54 in) tall, 130 mm (5.12 in) wide and 201 mm (7.91 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Scale: 1:10 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Build the base first: the six monster and rock sections. Dry-fit his boots on it before gluing anything.
  • He stands on one bent leg with the sword arm and the long blade reaching out behind him. Pin the boots into the base and the sword into the hand.
  • Thin parts: the long sword blade and its lanyard, the feathered collar and hip furs, the front hair and the spread fingers. The half-skirt is a thin sheet that hangs off the belt.
  • I print the six base sections hollow, so fill the small drain holes. Glue them together and fill the seams through the tentacles before you add the figure.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
