Fantasy Game Instructor Resin Garage Kit – Whip, Glasses & Staircase Balustrade Base (Unpainted, 18 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 18 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the blonde instructor from a classic fantasy role-playing game. She stands at the top of a small round staircase inside a carved wooden balustrade, the steel handle of her whip raised to her right shoulder and the twisted lash running down through her left hand to her knee. She has long straight blonde hair and thin oval glasses, and wears a cropped brown uniform jacket with a layered navy and grey collar edged in gold, a red necktie, red cuffs, a brown pencil skirt, dark thigh-high stockings and mid-calf boots. The base is a round wooden platform with three curved front steps, two turned newel posts with sweeping handrails, side and back railings and turned balusters.
What's in the kit
- 18 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 8 pieces: head with glasses, a loose lock of hair, torso, waist and skirt, two arms (one holding the whip handle) and two legs.
- Whip, 2 pieces: the lash in two sections.
- Base, 8 pieces: the round platform with steps, two newel posts with handrails, two side railings, the back rail and two single balusters.
- Platform with steps: 108.8 × 139.6 mm (4.28 × 5.50 in) footprint in the sculptor's file.
- Tallest single piece: a leg, 107.4 mm (4.23 in) in the sculptor's file. The finished figure stands much taller once the torso, head and platform are added. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- She stands inside the railing, close to the back rail. Fix the figure to the platform first and close the balustrade around her after.
- The two legs carry the whole figure. Pin each boot into the platform and each leg into the waist.
- The raised arm, the whip handle, the hair lock and the top of the lash all meet at her right shoulder. Fit the arm, then the hair lock, then the lash.
- The lash is two very thin pieces and the balusters are slender. Handle them gently.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
