IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the time-bending sorceress who is the final villain of a classic role-playing game. She stands barefoot on top of a pocket watch with her weight on one leg, one clawed hand hanging loose and the other raised beside her shoulder, palm up, looking down at the viewer with a calm, faint smile. Her white hair sweeps back into two large curved horns with dark tips, set with a gold band, red lacquered pieces, blue spirals and strings of beads, and two long falls of white hair run down her front. Her face is pale with gold eyes, dark lips and branching purple markings. She wears a crimson satin gown with long sleeves, cut open down the front and split high up one leg, gathered into a long train that lifts off to one side, under a shaggy grey-mauve fur collar and mantle, with plum gloves ending in long pointed nails, a gold collar at the throat and painted tattoo designs on her legs. Dark feathered wings fold down from her back. The base is a round plinth with a band of gold knotwork and a long clock hand across the front, the pocket-watch pedestal she stands on, and a backdrop of riveted gold rings, a second clock dial, stacked gears and a piston rod.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 7 pieces: head and horns in three pieces (the head with horns and headdress, the long hair falls and a small headdress piece), torso with the fur collar, two arms and both legs in a single piece.
  • Wings, 2 pieces.
  • Gown, 3 pieces: the skirt and train in three panels.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the round plinth, the pocket-watch pedestal and the gear-and-dial backdrop.
  • Studio scale: 1:6 (from 3DMoon's store page for this model).
  • Tallest single piece: the legs, 151.5 mm (5.96 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Round plinth: 113.5 × 114.5 mm (4.47 × 4.51 in) across in the sculptor's file. The gear backdrop is wider than the plinth and overhangs it on both sides.
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The plinth, pedestal and backdrop are three heavy parts that set the whole composition. Dry-fit them against the first photo and pin the backdrop.
  • Both feet land on the small pedestal top with the whole figure, wings and gown above them. Pin through the flat foot into the pedestal.
  • Each wing hangs off the back of the fur mantle with nothing under it. Pin both.
  • The three gown panels meet on smooth, glossy cloth. Plan to fill and sand those seams. The small headdress piece goes on last, with tweezers.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
