IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 31 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the horned, black-haired woman with a rag doll from a long-running fantasy role-playing game. She sits on the edge of a stone slab laid across fluted sandstone columns, her bandaged right arm resting along the slab and her other hand on the flagstones beside her, with a small closed-mouth smile and red eyes looking straight out. Two short ridged horns curve from the sides of her head, each hung with a spiked drop, one with a crescent moon, and her long black hair streams out to one side in a wind-blown sheet. She wears a long white gown with a gathered bodice and a smudged, stained hem, a black corset with raised scrollwork, a red pendant on a thin cord, a black fingerless glove and black strappy sandals. A small rag doll in a red hat and a red-and-pink dress with striped stockings sits slumped at the foot of the column. The base is a round disc of sandstone flagstones.

What's in the kit

  • 31 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 19 pieces: the head, the hair in four pieces, two horns with their hanging ornaments, the upper body, the lower body in the long gown, the corset, the bandaged arm, two hands, two lower legs with sandals and four small trim pieces.
  • Rag doll, 8 pieces: two body-and-head pieces, two arms, two striped legs and two further small limbs.
  • Scene, 4 pieces: the round flagstone base, the stone slab she sits on and the two fluted columns that carry it.
  • Tallest single piece: the lower body in the gown, 80.7 mm (3.18 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Base: 126.2 × 126.2 mm (4.97 × 4.97 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Build the scene first: the two columns, then the slab across them. She sits on the slab with her arm along it, so it has to be level and glued solid before the figure goes on.
  • The long hair is a large, thin sheet that streams out to one side. Pin it into the head.
  • This is a 31-piece build with many small parts: the horn ornaments, the pendant cord, two tiny bows and the doll's limbs. Keep them sorted as you unpack them.
  • The gown's hem staining and the corset scrollwork reward careful paint work; the doll needs a fine brush.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
