Video Game Laurel-Crowned Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Rune-Engraved Sword, Hound Skull Pauldron & Temple Steps Diorama with Red Pool (Unpainted, 16 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 16 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the laurel-crowned prince of the underworld from a popular action role-playing game, climbing out of a red pool up a flight of temple steps. His right foot, bare and painted like flame, is planted on a step, and his left leg is sunk to the shin in the pool, which throws a tall splash up around it. He carries his sword over his right shoulder, the blade angled up behind his head with a line of glyphs down its flat, and his left arm hangs out from his side with the hand open. His spiky black hair is crowned with a gold laurel wreath, and he looks down at the viewer with a small smirk. A pauldron of three cracked hound skulls with pointed ears sits on his left shoulder over a crimson woven drape. A gold chevron band crosses his bare chest, a black textured wrap with a gold hem and a belt of three small skulls circles his waist, and he wears red straps over his forearms, crimson leggings, black knee guards and greaves. The sword has a skull guard ringed with flame-shaped blades and a faceted gem pommel. The base is a piece of an underworld temple: stone steps, a round stone basin with a key-pattern band holding the pool, a temple front with three laurel-crowned skulls above a carved glyph, the middle skull biting a coin, and at the back a shrine niche where a hooded stone figure bows over a dark orb cradled in gold laurel leaves.
What's in the kit
- 16 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 11 pieces: head with the laurel wreath, torso, a short right-arm section, the right hand with the sword, the open left hand, two legs, two lower legs with the greaves, the waist wrap with the drape and skull belt, and the hound-skull pauldron.
- Base, 5 pieces: the stone steps and basin in two large sections, the red pool with its splash, the temple front with the three skulls, and the small orb for the shrine niche.
- Studio size: 1:6 scale, 355 mm (13.98 in) tall, 243 mm (9.57 in) wide and 253 mm (9.96 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
- Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The base holds most of the resin in this kit. Build it first: the two large stone sections, then the pool and the temple front, and glue it solid before the figure goes on.
- He stands with one foot on a step and the other leg sunk in the pool. Pin both legs into the base.
- The sword is part of the right hand piece and reaches up behind his head. Pin it at the wrist.
- A red glaze and gloss coat give the pool and splash a wet look. The splash, the blade tip, the hair spikes and the flame-shaped blades on the guard are thin.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
