Video Game Martial Artist Resin Garage Kit – Seated on a Wooden Barrel, Red Boots & Pallet Base (Unpainted, 13 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 13 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the martial-artist barkeep from a classic role-playing game. She sits on the broken-topped rim of an old wooden barrel with one leg crossed over the other, one gloved hand resting on her thigh and the other arm reaching straight down to grip the rim behind her hip, her face turned up and away with a calm, thoughtful look. Her long straight black hair falls down her back to the seat and is tied near the end with a red band. She wears a white sleeveless crop top over a black sports top, dark leather suspenders with buckles and D-rings, a short black studded skirt, black ribbed arm warmers, fingerless gloves with metal knuckle plates, a metal cuff on one wrist and a long armored guard with red studs on the other forearm, black thigh-high socks and red lace-up ankle boots with studded heels. The base is a weathered wooden barrel with broken staves and two riveted iron bands, standing on a plank pallet.
What's in the kit
- 13 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 11 pieces: head with the long back hair, two smaller hair pieces (a front lock and the tied end of the hair), torso, two arms, a separate hand, hips and skirt, both legs in a single piece, and two boots.
- Base, 2 pieces: the barrel and pallet, in two sections.
- Tallest single piece: the head with the long back hair, 123.4 mm (4.86 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Larger base section: 134.3 × 132.3 mm (5.29 × 5.21 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The barrel comes in two large sections. Glue it first and let it set before the figure goes on; fill the seam if it crosses the staves.
- Both legs are a single piece hanging from the skirt with neither boot touching the pallet. Pin the legs into the skirt.
- One arm reaches down to the barrel rim, so seat and glue the figure on the barrel first, then dry-fit that arm.
- Joins at the shoulders, midriff and thighs fall on bare skin and will need filling and sanding.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
