IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 28 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the red-cloaked gunman from a classic role-playing game, crouched on top of a ruined Gothic window. One knee is up with the boot planted and the other is down, his gun hand hanging between his knees with the barrel pointing down over the edge, and his gold clawed gauntlet thrown out behind him at shoulder height. A long, torn red cloak streams out behind him and to one side, and his long spiked black hair blows up to match. A red headband sits under the hair, which falls across his face so one red eye shows above a tall red cowl closed with a stack of silver buckled straps. He wears black grained-leather clothes with silver buckles and straps across the thighs and forearm, gold shoulder plates, a long thigh holster, black boots with gold toe caps and a gold plate over one shin and knee, and on one arm a segmented gold gauntlet ending in five long claws. The base is a stone column holding a pointed-arch window with broken round tracery, cross mullions and cracked glass, capped with stone blocks, among jagged rock spires on a rectangular plinth carved with a stepped pattern. Both gun hands are in the box, so you can swap them as you like: the long engraved pistol shown on the figure in the renders, and a triple-barrel revolver with a hanging chain charm.

What's in the kit

  • 28 resin pieces in total. Both gun hands are in the box.
  • Figure, 17 pieces: head, hair, the cowl with the short shoulder cape, torso, both arms (one in the gold claw gauntlet), two gold shoulder plates, legs, two boots, the gold shin plate, the thigh holster and the long cloak in four sections.
  • Gun hands, 3 pieces: the right hand holding the long engraved pistol, the right hand holding the triple-barrel revolver, and the revolver's hanging chain charm.
  • Base, 8 pieces: the window column and rock spires in six sections, the broken window tracery panel and a stone block.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 345 mm (13.58 in) tall, 190 mm (7.48 in) wide and 285 mm (11.22 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The cloak comes in four large, thin torn sections that make up most of the silhouette. Dry-fit all four against the photos and pin each join.
  • He crouches on the window column, so build the base first, then pin the boots and knee into the stone cap.
  • The gauntlet claws, the hair spikes, the torn cloak edges and the revolver's chain charm are thin and fragile.
  • The window tracery is an open, thin panel. Fit it into the column before the stone cap goes on.
  • Both gun hands are in the kit. Leave the wrist joint unglued (a pin holds it) if you want to swap them later.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
