IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 6 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the white-haired swordswoman from a famous dark-fantasy video game series. Her shoulders face forward while her head turns hard over her right shoulder in a hard scowl, with a scar down her left cheek. Her hair is center-parted and pulled back, with a braid along one side into a twisted knot and a long braid bound in leather strips falling over the collar. She wears a shaggy fur collar, mantle panels and pauldrons with a mail-link pattern and looped cord, a padded quilted leather jacket with buckled straps, and a small fanged medallion on a chain at her throat. A sword with a faceted pommel and a twisted crossguard rides in a long sheath across her back beside a second sheath. The bust sits on a tapered post above a round stepped plinth with wedge blocks around the rim. The studio's renders are unpainted gray.

What's in the kit

  • 6 resin pieces in total.
  • Bust, 3 pieces: the torso with the fur collar and armor, the head, and the long braid.
  • Sword and sheath, 2 pieces: the sword and a separate sheath piece for the back.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round plinth with its post.
  • Studio size: 135 mm (5.31 in) tall, 95 mm (3.74 in) wide and 82 mm (3.23 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' notes file).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The head joins the torso at the neck, where the front of the neck is bare skin, so that seam may need filling.
  • The long braid lies over the fur collar and down the chest; the fur texture hides its seam well.
  • The sword, its twisted crossguard, the braid and the sheath are thin. Remove supports from them slowly.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
