Video Game Vampire Lord Resin Garage Kit – Cape Breaking into Bats, Raised Hand with Magic Wisp & Gargoyle Rock Base (Unpainted, 17 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the vampire lord from a classic gothic video game series, in the look of its animated adaptation. He stands upright on a rock outcrop, his right hand raised with the clawed fingers spread and a curl of purple magic winding through them, his left arm hanging at his side. Behind him the cape lifts off his shoulders and falls to the ground on one side, while on the other it tears apart in mid-air into a flock of sculpted bats. He has long black hair parted in the middle, pointed ears, a thin mustache and a pointed goatee. He wears a tall stand-up collar, black outside and red inside, wrapped into a short shoulder cape, two green gems in gold settings joined by a gold chain, and a long black coat with red edging and a red branching pattern across the chest around a cream inner panel. A red sash is knotted at the waist, the coat splits into two long skirt panels over a cream inner panel, and he wears dark trousers tucked into black heeled boots with folded cream cuffs. The cape is black with a red lining. The base is a rough stone outcrop with a horned gargoyle head set into the rock on one side and a broken stone wing on the other.
What's in the kit
- 17 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 10 pieces: the head and hair in three pieces (face, front hair and back hair), the torso, the raised forearm, the raised hand, the hanging arm with its hand, the trousers and two boots.
- Cloth, 6 pieces: the stand-up collar, the two coat skirt panels, the cream inner panel and the two cape halves, one of them breaking into bats.
- Base, 1 piece: the rock outcrop with the gargoyle head and stone wing.
- Studio size: 218 mm (8.58 in) tall, 148 mm (5.83 in) wide and 115 mm (4.53 in) deep (from NomNom's scale sheet).
- Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The cape half with the bats reaches out past the hanging arm with nothing under it. Pin it at the shoulder.
- The two coat skirt panels hang from the waist and meet the cream inner panel at the front, so three cloth panels line up in one visible area. Dry-fit them before gluing.
- The figure stands on the two boot soles on uneven rock. Pin the boots into the base.
- Thin parts: the bat wings, the front hair, the clawed fingers on both hands and the magic wisp.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
