IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 20 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the blindfolded high cleric from a dark fantasy anime. She stands on a round relief base with her weight on one foot and the other heel raised, holding a tall sword upright in front of her with both hands, its point resting on the base, her head bowed a little toward the blade as if taking an oath. The sword carries a set of balance scales: gold arms curl out below a flame-tipped finial, with a pan hanging from each side on thin rods, above a violet-wrapped grip and a dark blade. She wears a dark blindfold under a purple-and-gold headband, a long white veil, a fitted white gown with long white gloves, a gold cord belt, a long front panel and fringed side sashes, and gold heeled sandals, with a large white cloak sweeping out behind her. Her long blonde hair streams out to one side with the cloak. The base is a pale round drum with gold relief: a flower medallion in the centre, a ring of shell-and-leaf motifs and a leaf band around the side.

What's in the kit

  • 20 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 8 pieces: head with the blindfold, fringe, the long back hair, torso with the fitted gown and long front panel, two forearms and two legs.
  • Cloth, 6 pieces: the cloak, the veil and four hanging cloth panels.
  • Base, 1 piece: the round relief base.
  • Sword and jewelry, 5 pieces: the sword in two halves, the two scale pans and a small jewel.
  • Studio size: 277.7 × 164.1 × 157.1 mm (10.93 × 6.46 × 6.19 in) for the assembled statue on its base, from the studio's dimension render in the kit folder. The longest of the three runs from the base to the sword's tip.
  • Round base: 110.6 × 110.6 mm (4.35 × 4.35 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The sword comes in two halves that pass through two separate hands and land the point on the base. Dry-fit both hands on the grip before gluing; any lean shows at the tip.
  • The scale pans hang from the sword's arms on very thin rods. Glue them on last, with the sword already set.
  • The cloak is a large, thin sheet that hangs from the shoulders with nothing under it. Pin it.
  • Assembly order matters: legs first, then the four cloth panels at the hips, then the cloak, then the hair and the veil over it.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
