Anime Blue-Haired Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Giant Bone Jaw, Broken Red Pillar & Blue Flame Rubble Base, Grinning and Snarling Heads Both Included (Unpainted, 18 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 18 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the wild, blue-haired swordsman from a long-running supernatural sword-fighting anime. He stands in a wide, low stance across two levels of broken rock, his right arm thrown straight out with a long sword held level and his left hand shoved in his trouser pocket, leaning forward as if just after a swing. His spiky hair is two shades of blue, swept back off the forehead, with green-teal marks under light blue eyes, and a bone fragment shaped like a row of teeth curls over his right jaw. He wears a short white jacket with a wide black collar and dark cuffs, open over a black sleeveless top that shows a long scar down his chest, glossy black trousers, black boots and two white studded belts across his hips, with a blue scabbard at his left hip. Behind him a snapped red pillar leans out of the rubble, in front of it lies a huge bone jaw with a full row of teeth and a number carved on top, and blue flames rise around the rocks and his boots. Both heads are in the box, to swap as you like: a wide, toothy grin, and a tighter snarl through gritted teeth with the brow pulled down.
What's in the kit
- 18 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 11 pieces: two heads (a wide, toothy grin and a gritted-teeth snarl), the bone fragment for the cheek, torso, two arms, the right hand with the sword, the left hand, the legs and two boots.
- Scabbard, 1 piece: the blue scabbard.
- Base, 6 pieces: three rubble sections, the red pillar, the bone jaw and a plug.
- Tallest single piece: the legs, 157.7 mm (6.21 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Largest rubble section: 183.4 × 158.3 mm (7.22 × 6.23 in) across in the sculptor's file. The pillar and the bone jaw sit beside it and widen the base.
- The sword, cast with the hand that holds it, is 187.7 mm (7.39 in) long in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The base is the heaviest part of the kit: three rubble sections, the pillar and the bone jaw. Dry-fit and glue the base first so the boots land where the stance needs them.
- He stands on two boots across two levels of rock with his weight forward. Pin both boots into the rubble and the legs into the boots.
- The sword arm reaches straight out with a long, thin blade cast as a single piece with the hand. Pin the shoulder and the wrist.
- The bone fragment for the cheek is tiny and thin; fit it with tweezers. The scabbard is a thin rod. Both heads fit the same neck, so dry-fit the one you want before gluing.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
