IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 26 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

She wears her usual outfit: a glossy yellow cropped top with a stand-up collar and a small blue clasp, a red jacket pulled down off both shoulders and knotted at the front, black suspender straps, low-slung yellow shorts with blue tabs at the waistband, tan stockings to mid-thigh and pale blue-gray ankle boots. The sunglasses are a separate piece, so she can be built with or without them. The base is a dark riveted metal deck with brass corners, a hex vent, a small amber lamp, a cable hatch and a pipe run with a valve wheel, with two stacked cases and ribbed hoses. Small props sit on and around the cases: a record in its sleeve, two soda cans (one crushed), cigarettes in an ashtray, a scatter of poker chips and green glass bottles.

What's in the kit

  • 26 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 14 pieces: head, hair in two pieces, sunglasses, torso, jacket in two halves, shorts, two legs, two boots, the hand holding the pistol and the hand on her hip.
  • Base, 4 pieces: the metal deck, the stacked cases and the pipe work in four sections.
  • Props, 8 pieces: the record, two soda cans, the poker chips, the cigarettes and three bottles.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 294 mm (11.57 in) tall, 135 mm (5.31 in) wide and 143 mm (5.63 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • She stands on the long straight left leg with the other boot on the top case. Pin the left ankle and both boots into the base.
  • Set the base sections and the case stack square and dry-fit the figure on them before gluing, so both boots land where they should.
  • The jacket comes in two halves that meet at the knot in front and across the back, on smooth glossy cloth. Plan to fill and sand that seam.
  • The sunglasses, poker chips and cigarettes are tiny. A glaze and gloss coat make the bottles look like glass.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
