IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the card-reading mage from a long-running fantasy anime about a guild of wizards. She stands in a relaxed pose with her weight on one leg, one arm raised and bent behind her head with a playing card between her fingers, and the other hand resting on her waist, her head tipped a little to the side with a small closed-mouth smile. She has long, wavy brown hair falling past her shoulder blades, large red-brown eyes and a dark blue guild mark low on her stomach. She wears her usual outfit: a teal bikini top, a pale strap across her body to a bag made of blue-grey feathers at her hip, black armbands with silver edges, a stack of silver bangles, a low dusty-pink belt with a silver buckle, rust-brown capri pants with turned cuffs and strappy dark brown sandals. The base is a round stone plinth with a worn flagstone top, glowing cracks and three playing cards lying on it, a scrolled band around the side and a small carved emblem tablet at the front, with a broken wall slab carved with the same emblem on one side of her and a heap of broken masonry on the other.

What's in the kit

  • 15 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 11 pieces: head, the hair in two sections, torso with the top and strap, hips and capri pants with the belt, two lower legs with sandals, two arms and two hands, one holding the card.
  • Feather bag, 1 piece.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the round plinth with the cards and the emblem tablet, the broken wall slab and the heap of masonry.
  • Studio scale: 1:6 (from 3DMoon's store page for this model).
  • Tallest single piece: the main hair section, 103.9 mm (4.09 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Plinth: 118.2 × 125.3 mm (4.65 × 4.93 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The whole figure stands on two slim lower legs, with the pants, torso, hair and bag above them. Pin the standing leg into the plinth and both lower legs into the pants.
  • The raised arm, the hand holding the card and the back of the hair all meet behind the head. Dry-fit them together before gluing any of them.
  • The two wall pieces stand close to her feet on either side. Dry-fit them against the figure before you glue them to the plinth.
  • Small, sharp details: the feather tips on the bag, the card, the curled ends of the hair, the sandal straps and the short metal rods on the broken wall.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
