IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 8 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the hulking bear summoned from the shadows in a hugely popular hunter-and-dungeon anime. He sits flat on his rump with both legs stuck straight out in front of him, soles toward the viewer, cupping a ball of fire in both forepaws at chest height. Flames lick up from his shoulders, wrap around both forearms, run down his back and stand up in a crest on top of his head. His fur is sculpted as a heavy ruff around the neck and cheeks over a smooth round belly and back, with short rounded ears, narrow slit eyes under a furrowed brow, a flat nose, two short fangs from the lower jaw, three claw scars across one eye, and big pads and claws on every paw. In the painted renders the fur is near-black and every flame, eye, scar, pad and claw glows pale blue. The base is a slab of layered rock with a snow-covered top, two broken logs and a few small stones, ringed by five snow-capped pine trees.

What's in the kit

  • 8 resin pieces in total.
  • Bear, 1 piece: the seated bear with his flames.
  • Fireball, 1 piece: the ball of fire he holds.
  • Base, 6 pieces: the snowy rock slab and five pine trees.
  • Studio size: 69 mm (2.72 in) tall, 60 mm (2.36 in) wide and 76 mm (2.99 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The bear seats onto the base on a peg under his rump, and the fireball sits in his cupped paws.
  • The five trees each plug into the snow on a trunk peg, and the sockets aren't labeled. Match them by size before gluing.
  • The smallest tree and the flame tips on the crest, arms, back and fireball are small and thin.
  • Glaze the flames on the fireball for the glow the renders show.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
