Chibi Masked Ninja Resin Garage Kit – Lightning Ball, Smoke Waves & Cracked Rock Base with Kunai (Unpainted, 17 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 17 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the masked, silver-haired ninja teacher from a long-running ninja anime, caught mid-attack. He crouches low with his legs spread and both sandals planted on the rock, his right hand driven down into a spiky ball of blue lightning that throws jagged branches out on every side, and his left arm folded across his chest. A navy mask covers his nose and mouth, a riveted metal plate on a navy headband sits across his forehead with its knot and tails at the back, and his hair is a big crown of pale spikes swept to one side. One eye is dark and the other is red with a black ring pattern. He wears a green flak vest with a high collar, rows of small chest pockets and a red spiral on the back, a navy long-sleeved shirt with red spiral patches on the shoulders, fingerless gloves with metal plates, loose navy pants with bandage wraps at the shins, a holster strapped to one thigh, a leather pouch on his belt and open-toe sandals. He stands on a slab of cracked, dry earth with pebbles and a stepped front edge, with cream smoke billowing up around both sides, two kunai stuck point-down and two throwing stars lodged in the ground and the smoke.
What's in the kit
- 17 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 8 pieces: four head pieces (face, hair and headband sections), the vest torso, two arms, and the legs as a single piece in sandals.
- Accessories, 5 pieces: the lightning ball with its branches, two kunai and two throwing stars.
- Base, 4 pieces: the cracked rock platform in two halves, and two smoke waves.
- Tallest single piece: the legs, 59.9 mm (2.36 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rock platform: 109.5 × 103.0 mm (4.31 × 4.06 in) across, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same platform.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The lightning ball is a mass of thin, jagged branches with sharp tips. It needs careful support removal, and it joins the right hand with very little contact area.
- The hair is a crown of pointed spikes, and the kunai, throwing stars and headband tails are small and thin.
- The head is four pieces and heavier than the torso it sits on. Pin the neck.
- The rock platform comes in two halves, so there is a seam across the cracked ground to fill and re-scribe. Dry-fit the two smoke waves around the rock before gluing.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
