IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 13 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the calm, paper-wielding woman from a long-running ninja anime, rising out of three columns of smoke. She floats upright with her arms low and a little out from her sides, palms open and turned forward. Two tall wings built from hundreds of small square paper sheets rise from behind her shoulders and curve forward around her. She has a chin-length blue-violet bob with a side-swept fringe, a small bun on top with a white paper rose pinned beside it, amber eyes under dark liner and lilac eyeshadow, a soft blush and a small stud below her lip. She wears a high-collared black cloak with a red trim line down the front, red cloud emblems on the chest and hips, and wide bell sleeves with deep red lining. Below the hips the cloak breaks apart into layered black and white paper squares that sit on the center smoke column. The base is billowing cream-to-peach smoke in three columns over low cloud masses, with loose paper sheets caught in it.

What's in the kit

  • 13 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 8 pieces: the head, the front hair, the cloak torso with its paper-square hem, two bell sleeves, two hands and the paper rose.
  • Wings, 2 pieces: the left and right paper-sheet wings.
  • Base, 3 pieces: the three-column smoke base cut in three sections.
  • Tallest single piece: the right wing, 173.3 mm (6.82 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Smoke base: 200.2 × 174.1 mm (7.88 × 6.85 in) across, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same base.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Each wing is a large piece over 170 mm tall, built from hundreds of thin paper-sheet edges, and it hangs off the back of the torso. Pin both wings.
  • The whole figure rests on the top of the center smoke column at her hem. Pin that join, and dry-fit the wings and base together before gluing, since the lower wing tips reach toward the outer columns.
  • The three base sections have to line up level under the figure. Fill the two seams through the smoke.
  • The hands, the paper rose and the hair strands are small and thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
