Chibi Swordsman in a Navy Coat Resin Garage Kit – Red Katana Held Upright, Black Armor & Smoky Grass Rock Base (Unpainted, 8 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 8 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of a stern, bearded swordsman from a hit supernatural action anime. He stands square on a raised rock base with his boots apart, holding a red katana straight up in front of him so the blade runs up the middle of his face, his left fist closed around the mouth of the scabbard, which angles back behind his elbow. His long navy coat is open down the front, with a tall flared collar, gold riveted tabs on the lapels and a gold plate across the upper back, and its skirt is thrown out to one side in a wide sweep. Under it he wears black textured armor with stacked pauldrons, elbow guards and bracers, a gunmetal chest panel over a gold chevron plate, a gold riveted belt, studded gloves, navy trousers with black armor panels and knee-high black boots. His dark hair is slicked back and flicks out at the sides, with gray eyes under heavy brows, sculpted stubble, a goatee and an earpiece with a small mic over one ear. The base is a two-tier rock plinth with a grass top, and cream smoke billows up around his boots.
What's in the kit
- 8 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 6 pieces: the head, the torso with the collar and upper coat, the coat skirt, the trousers and boots, the left arm with the scabbard, and the right arm with the katana.
- Base, 2 pieces: the rock and grass plinth, and the smoke.
- Tallest single piece: the trousers and boots, 81.6 mm (3.21 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rock base: 97.7 × 91.9 mm (3.85 × 3.62 in) across in the sculptor's file.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The katana comes on the right arm piece, and the blade is long and thin.
- The coat skirt is a large, thin hanging piece that sweeps out past the base edge. It has to sit snug against the torso, so dry-fit it before gluing.
- The head is heavy for the two slim boots it stands on. Pin the neck and both boots into the base.
- The smoke wraps behind and beside the boots; dry-fit it with the trousers in place before gluing anything.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
