IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 6 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the little reindeer ship's doctor from a famous anime pirate series. He sits on a wooden crate with his legs hanging off the front edge and his hooves splayed, one arm raised to his mouth with a puff of pink cotton candy and the other resting out to his side. His eyes are squeezed shut in two happy arcs above pink-blushed cheeks, mid-bite. His big round hat fills most of the head: a pink front crown with a white cross on a darker pink circle, a deep rose brim, teal blue sides and back with round cream dots, and two long teal straps down past his cheeks, one with a small buckle. Brown antlers with three tines each come out through the hat on metal collars. He wears a yellow shirt with white stripes and orange shorts with a darker sash. The base is the bow of a small boat with a planked hull and a curved railing, ringed outside by cream clouds and teal water splashes, with a patch of grass on the deck, a red and white life ring, a second crate, a barrel lying on its side and two gold four-point stars.

  • 6 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 3 pieces: the head with the hat, antlers and ears, the body with the legs and one arm, and the raised arm with the cotton candy.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the boat bow with the railing, clouds, splashes, grass, life ring and stars, and the crate he sits on.
  • Accessories, 1 piece: the barrel.
  • Studio size: 74 mm (2.91 in) tall, 46 mm (1.81 in) wide and 79 mm (3.11 in) long (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • The raised arm meets the body at the shoulder and the cotton candy has to sit against the muzzle at the same time. Dry-fit it before gluing.
  • Glue the crate onto the base first, then seat the body on the crate and the head on the body.
  • The antler tines, the star points and the railing balusters are the thin parts.
  • Lots of small patterns to paint: the shirt stripes, the dots on the hat, the cross and the red and white life ring.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
