IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 26 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

  • 26 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 11 pieces: the head with most of the hair, a separate hair section, the torso with the open coat, the sash, the shorts, two arms, two hands and two lower legs with sandals.
  • Accessories, 4 pieces: the hat on his back, the cloud collar and the lightning bolt in two pieces.
  • Base, 11 pieces: the energy cloud, the skull in two pieces, two horns, the rock ground in two pieces and four smoke puffs.
  • Largest single piece: the energy cloud behind him, 144.0 × 124.4 × 125.0 mm (5.67 × 4.90 × 4.92 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • This is a big scene for a chibi: the skull, horns, rock ground and energy cloud are seven large pieces to line up before the figure goes on, and they are most of the resin.
  • The long horn sweeps out from the skull and the lightning bolt hangs off a small fist. Pin both.
  • The head is a large part on a small torso, and the figure rests on the skull and cloud through his sandals. Pin the neck and both feet. I print the head hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
  • The cloud collar streamers, the bolt's jagged branches and the hat brim are thin and fragile. Fit them last.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
