IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 16 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the quiet dark-haired student from a dark supernatural anime, walking straight toward you mid-stride with his head tipped forward and his heavy-lidded eyes looking up from under his bangs. His right hand holds a pale gray megaphone at hip height, with a black emblem on its side. His left hand hangs open, wrapped in glossy magenta energy streaked with black that rises past his shoulder in a twisting ribbon. He has shaggy black hair with long pointed bangs, soft dark rings under his eyes and pink cheeks. He wears an off-white jacket with a high stand collar, a diagonal front closure and a single gold button, a white drawstring waistband, slim shiny black trousers and pale gray high-top sneakers. He walks across a broken slate slab set on a veined brown rock plinth, with a green creature head at his right foot, a red spiked centipede creature lying on its back at his left, and more magenta energy pooling between his feet.

What's in the kit

  • 16 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 10 pieces: the head, the hair, the jacket torso, two arms, the left hand with the energy ribbon, the right hand holding the megaphone, the trousers and two sneakers.
  • Scene, 4 pieces: the green creature head, the red centipede creature, the energy pool and the energy tendril.
  • Base, 2 pieces: the broken slate slab and the veined rock plinth it sits on.
  • Tallest single piece: the trousers, 74.4 mm (2.93 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
  • Rock base: the slate slab is 76.5 × 71.4 mm (3.01 × 2.81 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • The centipede creature is 80.6 mm (3.17 in) long in the sculptor's file.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The hair is the largest part and sits on top of the figure. Pin the head at the collar. I print the hair hollow, so fill the small drain holes before priming.
  • The centipede's legs and back spikes, the energy tendril's tip and the curl at the end of the arm ribbon are thin. Support them along their length.
  • The left hand carries the whole energy ribbon out from the cuff. Pin it.
  • The scene parts have to line up with the feet and with each other. Dry-fit the slab, plinth, creatures and energy with the figure standing before gluing.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
