IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 22 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the towering, white-haired sword fighter from a hugely popular anime about demon hunters. He stands with his feet set wide on a round base and grins straight at the viewer. His raised right fist holds one broad, cleaver-like blade behind his head, his left hand holds the second level across his body, and a heavy chain joins the two pommels and swings out in a wide loop. A silver forehead band set with pink hexagonal gems and strings of turquoise beads sits over swept-back white hair. He wears a sleeveless black uniform top with gold buttons and a white collar lining, wide gold bands on his bare, muscled upper arms, purple wristbands with gold bangles, a white belt, and wide black trousers gathered into deep red leg wrappings, with split-toe socks in sandals. The blades are golden orange with a black wavy band along the back. The base is a round plinth with a wooden floor top, a band of gold musical notes and treble clefs around the side and a round medallion at the front, and a swirl of pale curved streaks rises from its edge around his legs. Both heads are in the box: a clean face, and a face with a cluster of red circles and dots around the left eye. Swap them as you like.

What's in the kit

  • 22 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 7 pieces: torso, two arms with hands, two trouser legs and two lower legs with the red wrappings and sandals.
  • Heads, 2 pieces: the head with hair and red circles and dots around the left eye, and the same head with a clean face.
  • Trim, 6 pieces: the gem-studded forehead band and five thin cord pieces.
  • Weapons, 3 pieces: the two cleaver-bladed swords and the chain that joins their pommels.
  • Base, 4 pieces: the round base with the music-note band, the swirl of streaks in two pieces and the round medallion for the front.
  • Studio size: 402.3 mm (15.84 in) tall, 348.8 mm (13.73 in) wide and 277.7 mm (10.93 in) deep for the assembled statue on its base (from Lion Realm's scale image of the model at 100%).
  • Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The two blades are long and held only in the fists, and the chain runs from one pommel to the other. Dry-fit both arms, both blades and the chain together before gluing any of them, and pin the arms at the shoulders.
  • The two lower legs carry the whole figure. Pin them into the base and pin the trouser legs onto them.
  • The swirl of streaks comes in two large curved pieces that close around his legs. Pin the larger piece to the base.
  • The five cord pieces, the forehead band, the bead strings and the chain links are thin and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
