IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 8 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art bust of the towering, blind warrior monk from a hugely popular demon-hunting anime. It shows him from the belt up: one arm raised overhead gripping a short-hafted hand axe with an engraved blade, the other thrust forward with the fingers spread and two loops of prayer beads hanging from the hand. His spiky hair is swept back, his eyes are blank and his teeth are bared, and he wears his textured uniform jacket with the belt at the cut line. The bust stands on a square stepped plinth. This listing is the bust only, 111 mm tall on the studio's scale sheet; the 1:10 scale statue with the flail, haori and thorn base and the miniature are sold as separate listings.

What's in the kit

  • 8 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 6 pieces: head, chest and shoulders, two arms (one holding the axe) and two prayer-bead loops.
  • Plinths, 2 pieces: two plinths (alternate stands), one smaller and one larger.
  • Bust: 111 mm (4.37 in) tall (from the studio's scale sheet, which gives no width or length for the bust).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The axe arm reaches up and out from the shoulder with the axe head at the end. Pin that join.
  • The two prayer-bead loops are thin. Glue them to the open hand last.
  • The kit includes two plinths, a smaller and a larger one; use either. Glue the bust on straight so it doesn't lean.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
