IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 26 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the cheerful horned maid from a slice-of-life fantasy comedy anime. She steps forward with a wide, fanged grin, holding a tall teapot out to one side by its handle and balancing a round tray on her other palm with a teacup, saucer, spoon and a small muffin. Two segmented horns rise through her frilled maid headdress, long straight hair falls in two side locks, and a thick scaled tail curls out from under her skirt. She wears a fitted bodice with an apron bib and a collar tie, puffed sleeves with frilled cuffs, close-fitting forearm sleeves, a wide sash with a bow at the back, a long full skirt with a ruffled hem, and lace-up shoes. The base is a round disc paved with staggered rectangular tiles.

What's in the kit

  • 26 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 17 pieces: head, front hair, back of the hair, two side locks, two horns, torso with the puffed sleeves, the legs, two lower legs, two shoes, two upper arms, the forearm with the open hand, and the forearm with the hand holding the teapot.
  • Tail, 1 piece.
  • Clothing, 3 pieces: skirt, headdress and back bow.
  • Tea set, 4 pieces: tray, saucer, teacup with spoon and muffin.
  • Base, 1 piece: the tiled round base.
  • Tallest single piece: the legs, 105.3 mm (4.15 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
  • Round base: 103.6 × 103.5 mm (4.08 × 4.07 in) across in the sculptor's file.
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The skirt is a wide, thin shell with a ruffled hem, wider than the base.
  • The tail is the heaviest part in the kit and comes out from under the skirt. Pin it to the hips.
  • Both hands are cast with their forearms; the teapot comes on its hand. Fit the tray and the tea set to the open hand last.
  • The horns, the side locks, the spoon and the muffin are small and delicate.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
