IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 24 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the laid-back bounty hunter from a classic space-western anime. He stands side-on with his feet apart and his weight back, his right arm held straight out at shoulder height with a black pistol, his left hand pushed into his trouser pocket, and a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. His head is turned along the gun arm, chin down and eyes half-lidded under a big shaggy mop of dark green hair. A long taupe coat with a wide collar and metal eyelets hangs open and swings out behind him, its loose belt and buckle flying free at the back. Under it he wears a slate blue suit, a pale yellow shirt with the collar standing up, a dark tie, navy trousers and dark shoes. The base is the corner of a ruined building: a plastered wall breaking away into red brick, a cracked concrete pillar, a teal electrical box with cables on the wall, and a gray railing framing two conduit channels lit cyan from inside. The cracked concrete ground holds a green bottle, a broken bottle, a crushed can, brass shell casings, cigarette ends and a sheet of paper, with a rusty drain grate along the front.

What's in the kit

  • 24 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 13 pieces: head, cigarette, upper body with the coat front, the coat tail, the lower coat panel, the loose coat belt, two arms, the right hand with the pistol, the left hand, legs and two shoes.
  • Base, 11 pieces: the ground in three sections, the plaster and brick wall, the concrete pillar, the electrical box, the railing with the conduit channels, a bundle of conduit pipes, a bottle, a broken bottle and a crushed can.
  • Studio size: 1:6 scale, 322 mm (12.68 in) tall, 240 mm (9.45 in) wide and 233 mm (9.17 in) deep (from Tanuki Figures' printing and scale guide).
  • Scale: 1:6 (from the studio). Scale isn't standardized, so figures of the same scale from different creators may not match exactly.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • The pistol arm is a long horizontal reach off the shoulder. Pin it.
  • The coat comes in three pieces around the upper body, and the joins cross smooth coat fabric. Plan to fill and sand those seams.
  • He stands on two shoes on the ground slab. Pin both ankles into the slab.
  • Build the corner first: lay the three ground sections flat and level, stand the wall and pillar square to each other, then add the electrical box, railing and litter. The cigarette and the flying coat belt are tiny and thin.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
