IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 16 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art statue of the fiery young sorceress from a classic 1990s fantasy comedy anime, caught in the middle of a spell. She stands in a wide stance on a patch of leafy ground, one hand raised with a ball of green fire in her open palm and the other holding a sword point-down and back, and she turns toward the flame with a clenched, fighting grin. Her long orange hair, red at the tips, streams back in separate curling locks under a black headband and a spiky topknot, and she wears gold ball earrings. A tall, stiff purple cape collar lined in navy stands up behind her head, closed at the throat by a silver clasp with a red gem, with small gold-edged shoulder plates over a short capelet that becomes two long cape wings flying out to both sides. Under it she wears a short-sleeved red tunic with a yellow front panel and white trim, two black belts with gold buckles and red and green gems, red leggings, white gloves with a gem bracelet, and white boots with turned-down cuffs set with green beads. The sword has a dark blade with a gold guard and grip. The base is an irregular slab of earth with clumps of leafy ground cover, a tall tuft of grass, a few dark rocks and a small pool of water.

What's in the kit

  • 16 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 9 pieces: head, front fringe, the long back hair, torso, legs, two arms and two boots.
  • Cape, 4 pieces: the two cape halves with their long trailing wings and the two shoulder plates.
  • Accessories, 2 pieces: the sword blade and the green fireball.
  • Base, 1 piece: the leafy ground with the grass tuft, rocks and pool.
  • Studio size: 167 mm (6.57 in) tall, 172 × 122 mm (6.77 × 4.80 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).
  • Scale: about 1:10 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:10 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: advanced

  • Each cape half is a large, thin curved sheet that hangs off a shoulder with nothing under it. Pin both at the shoulder, then fit the shoulder plates over the top of the cape joins.
  • The sword blade is long and very thin and sticks out from the hand at hip height. A brass pin through the guard into the hand keeps it from snapping off.
  • She stands on both boots in a wide stance. Pin the boots into the base before the rest of the figure goes on.
  • Thin parts: the hair lock tips, the fringe, the flame tips on the fireball and the blade. A green glaze over the fireball gives it a glow.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
