IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.

The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 4 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:

  • Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
  • Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
  • Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
  • Unpainted: all painting is up to you.

Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.

This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.

A fan-art chibi of the spike-covered dragon from a popular monster-hunting action game. He charges down a slope of broken rock on all fours, one huge clawed forefoot lifted toward the viewer, his head dropped low between the shoulders and his jaws wide open in a snarl full of jagged teeth. Two thick, ridged horns sweep back from his brow and curl out to the sides, a dense crest of spikes covers his crown and cheeks, and more spikes run along his forearms, shoulders, chest and tail. Both bat-like wings are spread and raised, with a hooked talon at the end of each finger. The base is a slab of stacked, fractured stone with clusters of crystal shards growing out of the sides and back.

What's in the kit

  • 4 resin pieces in total.
  • Figure, 3 pieces: the body with the head, horns, legs and tail, and the two wings.
  • Base, 1 piece: the rock slab with its crystal clusters.
  • Studio size: 79 mm (3.11 in) tall, 65 × 94 mm (2.56 × 3.70 in) footprint (from the studio's scale sheet).

About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.

Skill level: intermediate

  • Each wing hangs off the back at the shoulder with nothing under it. Dry-fit both and pin them if the joins are flat.
  • The figure stands on uneven rock with one forefoot raised, so the three planted feet carry it. Glue them well.
  • The spikes on the crown, cheeks and limbs and the crystal shards on the base are many small points. Take supports off them slowly.
  • The wing membranes are thin sheets between the bones. Handle them gently and remove any supports from them slowly.

You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.

Shipping and returns

  • Free shipping to addresses in the 50 US states, Washington, DC, and military APO/FPO addresses.
  • International or US territory address? You can use a US package forwarding service. My responsibility ends when the package is delivered to the forwarder’s US address. Anything after that is between you and the forwarding service.
  • 30-day free returns. If the kit isn't for you, send it back within 30 days of delivery, unassembled and unsanded, and I'll send you a prepaid return label.
