Chibi Spiky-Haired Swordsman Resin Garage Kit – Giant Broadsword on the Shoulder, Bolted Pauldron & Gray Rock Base (Unpainted, 15 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 15 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art chibi of the spiky-haired mercenary hero from a famous role-playing video game, braced in a low, wide guard stance on a slab of craggy gray rock. His right hand is raised beside his head on the grip of a huge broadsword that rests across his shoulder, the broad flat blade running diagonally behind him and out past his left hip, and his left hand reaches forward at belt height, open and ready. His pale blond hair is a mass of big swept spikes with one tall spike on top, and he has bright cyan eyes and a steady scowl. He wears a dark ribbed sleeveless turtleneck, brown leather suspender straps, a wide leather waist piece with an embossed emblem, two stacked belts with silver buckles, a single navy pauldron with four bolts on one shoulder, a spiked bracer on the left forearm, dark gloves, baggy dark trousers and studded boots. The blade has a raised panel near the guard with two round slots, one holding a green orb.
What's in the kit
- 15 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 12 pieces: the main hair, the front hair with the tall spike, the head, the upper body with the suspenders and waist piece, the bolted pauldron, two arms, the right fist with the sword's grip and pommel, the open left hand, the trousers and two boots.
- Sword, 1 piece: the broad blade and guard.
- Base, 2 pieces: the gray rock in two halves.
- Tallest single piece: the sword, 92.1 mm (3.63 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height or scale, so I don't list one.
- Rock base: 115.4 × 80.4 mm (4.54 × 3.17 in) across, from the sculptor's single-piece file of the same base. The blade reaches past its end.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: intermediate
- The broad blade hangs from the grip in his right fist and rests against his back. Pin the fist and dry-fit the blade before gluing.
- The pauldron's four threaded bolts and the bracer spikes are tiny and fragile.
- The front hair is a set of thin pointed locks with free tips.
- The rock base comes in two halves with a seam through the stone to fill and re-texture.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
