Video Game Red-Haired Sorceress Resin Garage Kit – Carved Wooden Throne, Flame Orb & Carpet Runner (Unpainted, 20 Pieces)
Printed to order. This listing shows as sold out until the next print run is ready. Tap Notify me and leave your email, and I'll let you know when it's in stock. No pre-orders and nothing to pay up front. How it works
IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN UNPAINTED, UNASSEMBLED RAW RESIN KIT. IT IS NOT A FINISHED FIGURE.
The pictures are the sculptor's digital renders of the painted design. Your kit arrives as 20 separate pieces of plain, single-color resin. It is:
- Unassembled: you glue the pieces together yourself.
- Unprimed: it needs primer before paint.
- Unsanded: seams and surfaces need sanding.
- Unpainted: all painting is up to you.
Expect supports and support marks. Some parts may ship with supports still attached to make sure they do not get damaged during shipping. You may need to sand parts to fully remove supports or fill marks where supports attached. You will need to prime with an appropriate primer.
This kit is for people who want the full experience of finishing a 3D printed kit without owning a printer. It’s also a good way to find out whether the hobby is for you, and what finishing a printed model really takes, before you buy a printer of your own.
A fan-art statue of the red-haired sorceress from a famous fantasy role-playing game. She sits back on a tall carved wooden throne with one leg crossed over the other, one arm stretched out to the side with a flame orb floating above her open palm and the other arm resting along the armrest, looking straight ahead with a calm half-smile. Her red hair is gathered into a low knot at the nape with a thin braid, under a gold filigree circlet and a branching gold hair ornament set with a pale blue stone. She wears a long deep-teal robe with a plunging neckline, broad gold edging and gold branch appliqué, wide split sleeves bound with gold cord and sunburst brooches, tooled leather gauntlets, a plum sash with a jeweled clasp, white shorts, and knee-high laced boots with leaf cut-outs and open toes. The throne has two tall carved back posts with turned finials, an arched slatted backrest with gold rope rings, knotwork armrest pillars, and a teal carpet runner with gold veining that spills down the steps of a rounded platform.
What's in the kit
- 20 resin pieces in total.
- Figure, 7 pieces: head with the gathered hair and circlet, torso, two arms, seated legs, and two lower legs in boots.
- Flame orb, 1 piece.
- Throne, 12 pieces: the stepped platform, seat, steps, carpet runner, arched backrest, carved armrest pillars and tall uprights, in twelve sections.
- Tallest single piece: one of a matching pair of tall throne sections, 163.9 mm (6.45 in) in the sculptor's file. The sculptor doesn't publish an assembled height, so I don't list one.
- Largest base section: 175.1 × 143.2 mm (6.89 × 5.64 in) across in the sculptor's file.
- Scale: about 1:6 (estimated). The sculptor doesn't publish a scale, so this is my estimate of the closest standard scale based on the model's measurements. It may not look in scale next to other 1:6 figures, and scale can differ from one creator to another.
About the sizes: every measurement above comes from the sculptor's own files or the studio's published size information for the unprinted model. Your printed kit can differ slightly: resin shrinks a little as it cures, removing supports and sanding takes off some material, and the assembled height depends on how the parts are fitted. Treat the numbers as a close guide, not an exact guarantee.
Skill level: advanced
- The throne is twelve pieces of straight edges, flat faces and right angles. Dry-fit the whole throne before glue, or gaps will show along the moldings.
- The tall uprights and the backrest stand on small footprints. Pin them.
- Seat the figure and dry-fit the resting arm together, so that arm lies along the armrest and the hand clears its front edge.
- The flame orb is very small and touches the palm at one point. Pin it with fine wire.
You'll need (not included): sandpaper or sanding sticks, flush cutters, CA glue or epoxy, primer, paints, and brass rod if you pin the joints.
